In this course we will learn how to further control and expand the use of Photoshop and other software extensions. We will emphasize advanced techniques particular to a digital workflow, integration of RAW image progressing, tonality and color control, as well as advanced techniques in image construction, compositing and collaging, retouching, layering, selection techniques, masking, blending modes, and other emerging tools in Adobe Creative Suite. Students will combine these techniques to various output methods, including digital C-printing, large format inkjet printing, pre-press, and web display to explore the full potential of all aspects of Photoshop. Students will expand skill sets by learning the new combinations of tools, refining existing abilities, and exploring new functions. Through technical demonstrations, assignments, and real-world applications of these skills, students will integrate photography to advance their understanding of image-making across all areas of photography and to further develop their artistic visions.
