In this Advanced Photo Processes course, you will deepen your skills in Photoshop and related software, with a focus on mastering advanced techniques within a digital workflow. Topics include RAW image processing, tonal and color control, compositing, collage, retouching, advanced layering, selection and masking techniques, blending modes, and other evolving tools in the Adobe Creative Suite. You will apply these methods across a range of output formats—including digital C-prints, large-format inkjet prints, pre-press, and web display—to explore the full potential of Photoshop in contemporary image-making. Through technical demonstrations, hands-on assignments, and real-world applications, you will expand your skill set, refine existing abilities, and experiment with new techniques. The course supports the integration of photography with digital tools to enhance your creative vision and strengthen your practice across all photographic disciplines.

Open to: Bachelors degree in Photography majors, juniors and seniors only; others by permission of Photography program. Pre-requisite(s): PUPH 2111 Core Lab 2.
