This course will explore the current state-of-the-art best practices, and innovations, in the field of healthcare design, as well as the development of new patient care delivery methods, and alternative practices. In addition, we will consider the demand these developments create for new interior design concepts that support these forward thinking approaches to patient care. Students will be introduced to evidence-based design principles, research alternative social concepts, environments for care delivery, and explore new materials and tools utilizing state of the art health care technology. : Open to: All university undergraduate degree students. Pre-requisite(s): PUFY 1020 Space/Materiality. Note, seats are reserved for AAS Interior Design Majors.
