Credits: 3
This semester-long course offers a broad introduction to working with glass as a creative material. Through demonstrations, hands-on projects, and discussions, students will explore a range of methods and approaches to shaping, forming, and finishing glass. The course emphasizes both technical skill and conceptual development, encouraging experimentation and personal expression within the medium. In addition to structured class sessions, open studio hours will be available on Tuesdays and Fridays from 2–5 PM and Sundays from 5–8 PM. These hours are an important supplement to the course, and students are strongly encouraged to take advantage of this additional time to refine techniques and complete projects. Interested students should ensure they can attend at least one of the weekly open studio times when considering enrollment.
