In this course, students will explore the photographic tools most accessible to us while learning key concepts within composition, camera mechanics, editing tools, and introductory photographic history and theory, culminating in a semester that explores alternative photographic projects. Students will be introduced to artists and makers that occupy spaces within fine art, commercial work, and public praxis. Structured to support specific student interests, we will touch on how to document work with accessible tools to develop a deeper understanding of individual work while integrating different disciplines such as fashion, architecture, and design.

Open to: All university undergraduate degree students. Some seats reserved for BFA Integrated Design students.
