This course delves into the fusion of Strategic Design and Finance within the dynamic business landscape. The economic framework grows increasingly complex amid the continuous emergence of new business models and evolving technologies. The exploration centers on employing design as a methodological approach to strategically reshape corporate and national finance models. By leveraging Design principles, participants will understand how financial systems can adapt to and support evolving business and economic paradigms, including emerging technologies. The course entails applying Design principles to real-world corporate and national case studies in collaboration with SE4All, WBG, and the Rockefeller Foundation. This collaborative approach allows students to synthesize theoretical knowledge with practical considerations, fostering a comprehensive understanding of the intersection between Finance, Economics, and Design. The culmination involves group collaboration to address a pivotal question: "How can Design serve as a methodology to overhaul financing models tailored to sector-specific needs in addressing the climate crisis?"
