"Fashion Illustration's lineage can be traced back through centuries. Often recognized for highlighting advancing aesthetic attitudes and invention in art and design, whilst illuminating significant cultural shifts. In this course, we will examine the importance of the discipline, both current and historically to help define its creative future. In exploring its purpose and power students will focus on building a studio based practice, in personal artistic responses to the current modes in fashion and style. Students will develop their own body of creative imagery and an understanding of opportunities within the field. They will connect with Industry professionals to who will offer useful insights to support the development of methodologies for students interested in pursuing a career in this artistic realm.
