While graduation may seem far away, it is never too early to begin developing your professional goals, skills, and materials. This course will prepare you to do so while demystifying the process of applying to internships, job positions, and award opportunities. You will simulate the search and application process by identifying a real-life opportunity as a model; drafting a resume and cover letter to match; building an online networking presence; participating in a mock interview, and utilizing professional communication to follow-up. Class discussions, activities, presentations, guest speakers (e.g., industry professionals, current students, Career Services, etc.), and reflective writing prompts will allow you to critically consider the process and how your professional goals connect to your work at Parsons.
