"This course introduces environmental principles and approaches to ecological design as they relate to the interior environment. The class will prepare students to understand how the physical environment interacts with elements in the built environment to modify both space and climate, and the integration of environmentally conscious design strategies. This seminar offers scientific and technical support for PUID 3010 Interior Design Studio 3. Energy and the Interior introduces high performance building design such as the Passive House Concept. The course examines basic physical principles and design concepts regarding the site and the climate.
