In this course, the second of the Program’s Core Lab curriculum, students are introduced to intermediate techniques in photography, focusing on Photoshop, including advanced parametric image-editing, compositing, masking and beauty retouching as well as advanced printing workflows. Through technical demonstrations, hands-on workshops, and both technical and creative assignments, students develop an awareness of contemporary methods of photographic production while further developing their artistic vision. This lab course runs in tandem with Core Studio 2.

Open to: Bachelors degree in Photography majors only. Pre-requisite(s): PUPH 2101 Core Lab 1: Photo Practices. Co-requisite: PUPH 2110 Core Studio 2: Photo Practices.
