In this course, you will use writing as a professional tool to critically engage with your own work and articulate what informs your practice. Through short exercises, readings, and the development of your thesis essay, you will explore creative strategies to clarify your ideas, express your artistic voice, and situate your work within the broader contemporary field. You will also learn to write for professional contexts—developing artist statements, bios, CVs, and proposals for grants and fellowships.

Open to: Bachelors degree in Photography majors only. Pre-requisite(s): PUPH 4101 Core Lab: Professional Practices 1. Co-requisites: PUPH 4110 Core Studio: Thesis 2.
