This course will explore and examine global performance (dramatic literature, music, film, and dance). We will discuss the links the chosen work has with the past, the influence the work has had on performance practice, and the work’s connection with contemporary thought and our current context. Students will consider the questions, “How is our own performance practice informed by the works studied in this course?” and “What is our responsibility as artists?”
