This course investigates primary techniques in dramaturgical analysis and their use by professional designers to manifest the visual world of a theatrical production. Building on lessons in Dramatic Structure and Styles I and Dramatic Structure and Styles II,which serve as prerequisites to this course, the course focuses on the use of techniques covered in those courses as the catalyst for the designers’ imaginative visual response to theatrical text.
