Michael Chekhov Technique
Fall 2024
Taught By: Bethany Caputo
Section: A

Michael Chekhov’s acting technique is a psychophysical technique. It means that we train the body and the imagination to help us access a full experience of our humanity and of the present moment. Whether you intend to major in Acting, or whether you are taking this course as an artist from another discipline, we will work on Chekhov’s tools such as psychological gesture, atmosphere, qualities of movement and other elements of the work that are both physical and imaginative.
