College of Performing Arts: Drama
CRN: 18440
Credits: 1
Students will observe and assist in the development of an important social justice youth theatre project. SpaceBridge is a workshop and performance program that connects refugee children with their American counterparts to build lifelong friendships while reconciling their differences. The rehearsal period will culminate in a series of performances as part of the Under The Radar Festival. Students will work directly with the project’s artistic team and lead artist, Irina Kruzhilina. The SpaceBridge production practicum offers hands-on experience in both the creative and production aspects of theatre. Students will assist in the devising process, prepare and distribute rehearsal notes, aid to the creation and sourcing of props and set elements, and support the Production and Stage Manager.
