A yearlong workshop in writing and storytelling for visual mediums. Expansive thinking will be engaged; the aim is to establish skills not only in writing for the screen but also to stimulate and invigorate students’ visual voices in their theater making as well. Students will write and direct short film projects; the goal is to illuminate how practical filmmaking can influence and inspire one’s writerly voice, in addition to demystifying the idea of writer-as-filmmaker.
