The APEX sequence is for students to execute their thesis projects. All aspects from the creative process to the logistic of production will be considered and acted upon over the two semesters of the 3rd year APEX experience. As such, APEX Seminar I and II during the 3rd year experience are structured as a kind of artist residency, where students have latitude to engage in independent research and work with the guidance of the instructor and other faculty mentors. Weekly check-ins are scheduled class time which may be used for one-on-one mentoring, group workshop, production meetings, and rehearsal as needed. As a first act, students will revisit submitted proposals to articulate any changes that need to be made.
