Provide intensive training in identifying and writing the fundamental materials of music; a working knowledge of standard musical terminology, including key signatures, major and minor scales, intervals, triads and seventh chords; an introduction to chord construction in four voices; understanding of notation of rhythms in simple and compound meters.
