This course will build on the materials explored in the Time Tools Introduction course. In this advanced course, emphasis is on practical rhythm studies useful for any musical situation. We deepen our connection with pulse through clapping, simple stepping, rhythmic vocals, overtone singing, and the use of Caxixi (Brazilian basket shakers). Compositional ideas utilizing groupings of 5, 7 and 9 will be our point of departure.
