COURSE DESCRIPTION Goals: Provide training in reading and playing at the piano orchestral scores, up to full triple-wind orchestra in scope. Provide experience in reading scores from all types of orchestral literature from the 18th C. to the modern era. LEARNING OUTCOMES By the successful completion of this course, students will be able to show: 1. Ability to read and play at the piano advanced symphonic literature. 2. Ability to play opera scores. 3. Ability to analyse and comment upon issues of instrumentation.
