This course is designed for high-intermediate to advanced-level students who are interested in Chinese popular culture and classical art forms, primarily calligraphy. Students study Chinese language and society through the dynamic lens of contemporary popular culture, film, and media. Additional key topics include contemporary Chinese art, fashion and youth culture. Students will participate in two in-class calligraphy workshops. [In Chinese] Proficiency: intermediate-high or advanced level proficiency in Mandarin Chinese.
