An advanced conversation and writing undergraduate course in Japanese popular culture. Designed for students interested in furthering the development of their oral and written proficiency in Japanese. The course offers a panoramic overview of Japanese pop culture and media including, advertising, anime, manga, fashion, and music. Current events topics include ethnic, gender, socio-political and cultural realities. Students will engage in lively class discussions and conduct presentations, writing assignments, and creative projects. [In Japanese] Proficiency: intermediate-high or advanced level proficiency in Japanese is required.
