"This Spanish-language graduate course on Latin American short fiction provides a panoramic array of provocative readings authored by renowned Latin American and Latinx authors, who write in Spanish. The course strives to untangle the fascinating nature of this genre, making it possible to appreciate a wide-range of narrative practices utilized by the authors. Literary themes include, travel writing, gender diversity, marginality, and identity, among others. Readings and media will be points of departure for several written and oral projects.
