Composing an email that is on-point but elegant, writing an academic paper that is nuanced and precise, drafting a cover letter that will increase the chance of being invited for an interview, the writing skills we build in this class apply to the myriad ways we use writing in everyday life. While building important skills in grammar, punctuation and style, we also consider lessons from poets, novelists, essayists, and what they can teach us about living the way we want to live on the page.
