This course is designed to build one's skills in silver based analog processes. Advanced and experimental film processing as well as archival silver gelatin printing are the major areas covered in this course. The history of film photography is discussed in connection with the techniques taught in class. Through technical demonstrations, hands-on workshops, and technical and creative assignments, students develop a working knowledge of the various mediums while also developing their own visual language. Open to: All university undergraduate degree students. Pre-requisite: PUPH 2100 Core Studio 1: Photo Practices or PUFY 1216 Analog Photo Tools. Some seats have been reserved for Bachelor of Photography majors and minors.
