In this course, you will be introduced to the basics of darkroom photography. We will be covering small format film cameras, darkroom processes, image development, and artistic techniques. You will participate in hands-on demonstrations and collaborative problem-solving sessions to understand both the technical and creative aspects of using darkroom equipment. You will learn traditional darkroom techniques, including the use of chemicals and tools, to build foundational skills in image creation. Assignments will focus on helping you develop a creative vision by using film and darkroom methods, such as film paper processing, to gain artistic control and produce a final portfolio.
