In the first term of this two-semester course, students are required to demonstrate an awareness of prominent issues in their chosen fields and to develop a rigorous design research process identifying opportunities for creative intervention. This course draws upon and tests competencies developed in previous courses, as students employ and refine their skills of research, analysis, explanation, persuasion, and presentation across multiple media. A series of milestone deliverables support the development of first-term conclusions, solidly positioning student projects for further design, development and implementation strategies to be carried out in Senior Project 2. When taking this course, it’s recommended to also take PUDM 4322 Business Models and Entrepreneurial Strategy.

This course is a single cohort with a designated online and in person registration section taught by a teaching team. Open to: BBA in Strategic Design and Management students; seniors only. Pre-requisite(s): PSDS 3100 Integrative Research & Development.
