In this course, students will develop and deliver a self-initiated research project. Students will be expected to demonstrate an awareness of prominent issues in their chosen fields and to identify and develop opportunities for meaningful creative intervention. Students will follow rigorous design research and implementation processes involving fieldwork, community engagement, analysis, synthesis, prototyping, testing, and refinement of insight, ultimately leading to the delivery of a robust and innovative strategic intervention grounded in rigorous research. This course draws upon and tests competencies developed in previous courses, as students employ and refine their skills of research, analysis, systems thinking, explanation, persuasion, presentation across multiple media, and implementation strategies.

When taking this course, it’s recommended to also take PUDM 4322 Business Models and Entrepreneurial Strategy. Open to: BBA in Strategic Design and Management students; seniors only. Pre-requisite(s): PSDS 3100 Integrative Research & Development.
