This project driven studio explores design proposals and implement of methods of situated action and intervention. Applying the research methodologies acquired in Integrated Design Studio 1&2, students conduct participatory, interpersonal, human-centered research and creation with an understanding of the complex relationships between; human to human, human to object, and human to space/environments. As students investigate these relationships, they develop alternative design solutions that are successful models for community engagement by becoming active members in communities and organizations. Experimental and iterative prototyping outside the classroom will be used to develop interventions that can influence specific situations, as well as offer insight and reveal hidden perspectives.
