This is a scene study class. Students will work on their acting craft through their work on scenes from contemporary plays. The class will ask you to utilize all of your training from Intermediate Acting 1 class to tell the story of the scene. The course will include work on listening and responding, owning given circumstances, establishing and playing objective, physical activity, actions, moment before, the development and trust in the imagination and moment-to-moment acting. Exercises, tools, and adjustments will be introduced to help students to overcome obstacles in their scene work and personal obstacles. Acting Techniques that this class draws from is the teachings of Utah Hagen, Stella Adler, and Strasberg.
