In this class we will explore innovative ideas in visual storytelling through the use of techniques such as folding, piercing, transparency, interactive sequencing and the unreliable narrator, among others. Also, students will consider print and book design, as well as interactivity in a non-digital medium. Students will be encouraged to make books that challenge the conventions of traditional picture books, experimenting with new forms and narrative strategies.

Open to: All University undergraduate degree students. Pre-requisite(s): PUFY 1030 Drawing/Imaging and PUFY 1040 Time. Some seats have been reserved for BFA Illustration majors.
